Railroad Street Artworks is a nonprofit corporation, but not yet an IRS 501c3 charitable organization, though that is our future plan. The Fairport Foundation, that does have 501c3 exempt status, is our fiscal sponsor as we receive donations and apply for grants.
Our short & long term plans for growth include:
Installing a sink for our classroom - this will better serve our classes, especially for youth and children. We have received two estimates, each approximately $4000. The installation involves extensive plumbing and a pump! Short Term
Outdoor lighting - to make our exterior both more appealing and better lit, especially in the darker winter months. Electrician expense and fixtures are the main expenses. We have not yet requested estimates. Preferrably by Winter
Hanging system for the multipurpose room - this will simplify the installation of exhibits. The system will be approximately $2500. Short term
Basic art supplies - for our classroom. Short term
